On March 23, 1994 this area of Pope Air Force Base, "Greenramp", was the site of tragic aircraft accident; a F-16D/C-130E mid-air collision while attempting to land. After the F-16 pilot ejected, his F-16 hit a plane on the tarmac at Pope, the resulting explosion and fireball from that crash killed twenty-four Army personnel and injured more than 100 soldiers and civilians on the ground. The C-130 landed safely.

All these Airplanes! Which one is ours, Sarge?
