10. Airborne Operation Photos - Green Ramp, Pope Air Force Base, NC - June 14, 1984

SSG Otten, ( no helmet on) himself a Jumpmaster, is having his equipment checked by another jumpmaster. After all the troops were checked out the jumpmasters inspected each other. SSG Otten has two white stripes at the bottom of his left leg; he has a knife taped to his leg. A knife might come in handy during an emergency situation, if for example there were a towed jumper, or someone's chute was caught on equipment or caught in a tree.
